Full Speed Data means we do not throttle at Wireless Nation. The average peak hour speed is 31 or 38Mbps download, and 14 or 23Mbps upload, depending on where you are. Actual speeds may be faster or slower, depending on your distance to the nearest tower and how many people are using that same tower simultaneously. Speeds are from the Commerce Commission’s Measuring Broadband New Zealand (MBNZ) June 2024 report.

What happens when I run out of full speed data?

Your data will run at full speed until you hit your data cap, after which your connection will continue to run at a maximum of up to 1.2Mbps until the end of the month at no extra charge.

You can also upgrade your plan (if a higher plan is available at your address) which will take effect in the following month.

Your data typically renews on the 1st of each month. However, if your plan includes “(S)” in the name e.g. “Home Wireless 1000GB (S)”, the renewal date is the 27th of each month. We use various networks to ensure you get the best service at your address. You can find your service name on your invoice, in our customer portal, or on the Wireless Nation app.

Can I add a home phone line?
Yes, you can add a home phone line during online signup. You can find the pricing and features here

P.S. We recommend one of our awesome mobile phone plans which comes with free standard calling to NZ/AU — also available to add during online signup.

Disclaimer

Factors such as the performance of your modem, the distance you are from a cell tower, the network capability, the overall use of that cell tower by other customers, the performance and age of the devices you are using, and your in-home WiFi setup, can impact the speeds experienced.

The modem is not to be moved from your physical address.

This is a best efforts residential service and is not to be used for business or re-sale.

It can take up to 3 hours for your data to renew from midnight on the 1st of every month — this is due to the large number of connections that need to get processed through the system.
