Speeds may be faster or slower, depending on your distance to the nearest tower, your location, and how many people are using that same tower simultaneously. Your in-home WiFi setup, the age and performance of your devices, and the location of the server you are connected to may also affect speeds. This plan may not be available in 5G areas if capacity is reached.

What's the setup cost and contract terms?
There’s an investment of $499 (or $299 on a 12 month term) for a powerful, future-proof 5G home modem. Plus shipping and handling of $16.95.
Early exit fees apply on a 12 month term. If you’re on an open term, we’ll just need 5 working days’ notice when you wish to put it on hold (after one-month minimum activation).
*The early exit fee is calculated as 1/12 of the modem discount for every remaining month on a 12-month contract, plus the remaining portion of any promotion received at signup (if applicable), calculated in the same way. For example, if you cancel with 5 months remaining on your contract, the early exit fee will be $83.33 (5/12 of $200), plus the remaining portion of any promotional value.
Is 5G as reliable as Fibre?
For most households, yes. Streaming, video calls, browsing, gaming on consoles all work well on 5G.
The Commerce Commission’s MBNZ testing shows 5G averaging around 200 Mbps download.
Performance can vary depending on location and network conditions, which is why we check coverage upfront. If it’s not right for your home, we’ll let you know.
How long does setup actually take?
Modem arrives by courier within a few working days. Plug it into power. Connect your devices to its WiFi and you’re online in a few minutes.

Can I move house and take it with me?
5G home internet is not portable, but you can transfer it if you are moving house as long as your new home is within our 5G coverage area.
If you’re moving house, just email accounts@wirelessnation.net and we’ll help arrange the move.
If your new place is not in 5G coverage, we have other options including fibre and other networks we can switch you to.
