Resetting my mobile phone’s network settings

If you are having trouble with your mobile network (including mobile data, Bluetooth and WiFi) you can follow the below steps to reset all network settings on your mobile device.

Resetting Network Settings

Note: Resetting Network Settings will also disconnect any saved WiFi or Bluetooth networks connected to your phone.

1. Open Settings App, then tap General Management. 1. Open Settings, then tap General.
2. Tap Reset and then Reset Network Settings   2. Transfer or Reset iPhone/iPad and then Reset. Now tap Reset Network Settings
3. Then Reset Settings then Reset 3. You may be asked to enter the phone’s Passcode/Password
4. You may be asked to enter the phone’s unlock code or use the unlock pattern 4. You will be as to confirm, tap Reset Network Settings

 

Enabling roaming on your phone

If you are having trouble with your mobile network connectivity while Roaming, please try the below steps after you have completed the steps above.

Step 1 – Enable Roaming

1. Open Settings App 1. Open Settings App
2. Tap Connections 2. Tap Mobile, or Mobile Data
3. Tap Mobile Networks 3. Turn on Mobile Data, then tap Mobile Data Options
4. Enable Data Roaming 4. Enable Data Roaming

Step 2 – Manually selecting the network operator

Android   Apple
1. Open Settings 1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections 2. Tap Mobile, or Mobile Data
3. Then Mobile Networks 3. Tap Network Selection
4. Tap Network Operators 4. Disable Automatic
5. Select one of the available network operators from the list. Once it indicates as registered, exit the Settings and check if you can make or receive calls. 5.
