My Fibre Power Adapter is Missing or Damaged
The small black or white box attached to your wall is called an ONT (Optical Network Terminal). This box belongs to the property and requires a specific power cable to turn on your internet.
If you have just moved in and the power cable is missing or broken, follow these simple steps to get a replacement:
Step 1: Double-check the property
Before ordering a new one, check around the house. Previous tenants often accidentally tuck the power cable into kitchen drawers, hallway linen cupboards, or near the electrical fuse box in the garage.
Step 2: Order a replacement adaptercable
- If you live in a Chorus area (Most of NZ): You can order a brand-new replacement power cable sent directly to your house for free. Click here to request one via the official order a new one directly from Chorus here.
- If you live outside a Chorus area (Christchurch, Whangārei, Hamilton, etc.): Other local fibre networks (like Enable, Northpower, or Tuatahi First Fibre) manage their gear differently. If you are in these regions, simply contact the Wireless Nation Support Team, and we will arrange a replacement cable with your local network provider for you.
Unsure which network you are on?
If you don’t know who your local fibre provider is, get in touch with our team Contact, and we will look it up and order the correct cable for you instantly.
