Important: Ensure your smartphone, tablet, or computer is currently connected to this exact same Wi-Fi network before attempting to configure your printer.

Common Methods for Connecting a Printer to Wi-Fi

Because printer interfaces vary wildly by manufacturer, identify your printer style below to establish the connection:

Method 1: Printers with Built-In Screens (LCD Displays)

  1. Navigate to your printer’s physical control panel and open the Settings, Network, or Wireless Setup menu.
  2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard or Search for Networks.
  3. Locate and select your home Wi-Fi Network Name from the discovered list.
  4. Carefully type in your Wi-Fi Password using the on-screen keypad.
  5. Wait for the connection light to turn solid, then print a network configuration page to verify success.

Method 2: Screenless Printers (App-Based Setup)
